Week one: this lesson Dan has been teaching me and Cory the opening to Green Day American idiot, finding it a bit hard but want to carry on trying
Week two: second lesson is a lot better, I have got the start but we had to change songs because Cory couldn't get the hang of it so we are now being taught Smoke on the water by Deep Purple, I have got it already.
Week three: completed song but now need to rehearse to get the rhythm and timing right for the song
Week 4: just rehearsing the song for a few weeks so we can work on rhythm and accuracy
Week 5: still rehearsing this week to get it perfect
Week 6:only got to practise once as we let Graces group rehearse this week so Grace learn what to do because she had only joined their group on the Monday
Week 7: rehearsed for the last time as recording next week and improvised as we were all going to do the same part but we split it into 3 for Cory to get the hang of the 1st part mainly
Week 8: this week me and Dan taught the year 9's Bob Marley 3 little birds and then we recorded our smoke on the water performance
For the recording and rehearsals we had to use "musical interaction" which means playing music with other people (which for me was Dan and Cory)
Week 9: this week we started to learn 7 nation army by the white stripes.
Week 10: This week we had learnt all the chords to 7 nation army by the white stripes and began rehearsing it through without the backing track to build up confidence when playing it at full speed
week 11: we have completed 7 nation army and started crazy train by Ozzy Osbourn and learnt the chords to that
week 12: we have rehearsed both crazy train and 7 nation army, we are confident and waiting to record.
Our Learning Repertoire is the actual pieces of music then we improvise them to suit what we like

ReplyDelete1. Please change 'week one, week two' etc. to the correct dates, as this will start to get confusing with holidays and a two-year course!
2. Try to write much more indepth. Make sure you are writing about your guitar lesson too, and what you are learning in those lessons.

DeleteJak - you haven't acted upon last weeks feedback. You need to change your week 1, 2, 3 etc. to dates, and write in more depth. You also need to embed your recording and write an in-depth review. Write at least 70 words for a review.
ReplyDeleteYou have shown good improvement here. However, to complete this page, you now must complete an in depth review of each recording. You also need to complete a basic skills audit to demonstrate what you were able to do before you started this course, and what you wish to achieve, including short and long term SMART targets.
